If you are looking for an alternative to ‘Trick or Treating’ or just want to extend your child’s Halloween fun, you are welcome to our All Hallows Party at St Stephen’s Church Chatham on Sunday 2nd November from 5pm to 6pm, open to all primary aged school children. This year, each child must have a parent or carer accompanying them. Last year, many parents wanted to stay and had a great time! For the best child protection, therefore, all children will need to be accompanied. Come and join the fun!

There will be competitions of apple bobbing and doughnut eating, as well as other games and craft. Refreshments will be available. Fancy dress is optional (please refrain from crime or violence themes) but be aware that some of the games will be messy!

Please fill in the information on the google form by following this link: AllHallowsEveApplication  This form needs to be completed before we will confirm your place. If you have more than one child,  PLEASE FILL IN ONE FORM FOR EACH CHILD. At the end of the form, there is an option to submit another form.

Away Weekend 2025

Friday 31st January - Sunday 2nd Feb

Ladywell Convent  GU7 1ST

In preparation for our time together

As you will see, our theme for the weekend is: 'The changing face of Church , Faith in the future'.

We'd like to ask everyone to think about this both before and during the weekend. If you want to bring something pre-prepared to put on display that would be great. It could be a poem, a drawing, a phrase or quote. Anything that sums up your vision, hope or dream for the shape of the future church. To get you thinking here is a quote from the theologian Karl Rahner: "The Church of the future will be one built up from below."

If anyone would like to bring a cake or biscuits for us to share over coffee on Saturday and Sunday that would be appreciated.  We will have drinks and nibbles available for the evening social times and any contributions would be gratefully received.

Here is some information from the centre:

Bedrooms are available from 4:00pm. If for reasons beyond your control and you cannot arrive on time, please let us know. Check-out of the bedroom on the day of departure is by 10:00am with keys returned to the reception office, even though the group will be staying on for lunch on departure. You will receive a tour of the Centre, which also includes a mandatory health & safety talk, when you arrive. Please keep in mind we provide bed linen and towels, kindly bring your toiletries.
